CONTRACTING, LICENSING, AND APPOINTMENT(S) FOR PROSPECTIVE PRODUCERS

Before doing business with HSR, here’s what we need to get started:

PRODUCER AGREEMENT

This agreement is a valuable piece of our overall process and carries specific obligations and benefits for both you and HSR. This agreement formalizes the relationship between our respective organizations. Please review the agreement in its entirety, then complete, execute and return the signed original to HSR. The Producer Agreement will be countersigned by an HSR officer and returned to the producer. A copy of the agreement will remain on file with our companies. 

LICENSING

Each state's regulatory department requires licensing for any producer soliciting coverage within that state. Failure to maintain proper licensing status can result in penalties not only to the producer, but also to the insurer. In addition to the completed Producer Agreement, we require that you provide the following:

• A copy of your resident license and, if applicable, non-resident licenses for each state in which you have an account insured with our program.
• A copy of your agency’s corporate license issued by your state's Department of Insurance.

PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY

HSR requires that all producers provide evidence of coverage for errors and omissions liability coverage in an amount not less than $1,000,000 for any one event or occurrence. Liability coverage must be issued by a carrier rated "A" VII or better by A.M. Best.

• Please provide HSR with a Certificate of Insurance or other evidence of your E&O coverage.
